NY Eta's Friendship Fund

"The Friendship Fund is the primary way the Foundation fulfills its mission and ensures the future of the Pi Beta Phi sisterhood. Individual, chapter and alumnae organization gifts to the Friendship Fund impact individual members of Pi Beta Phi, the Fraternity and the communities which we all serve. Everything Pi Beta Phi Foundation does is supported with Friendship Fund gifts, wholly or in part, with the exception of chapter-specific housing programs."- The Pi Beta Phi Foundation. The NY Eta chapter of Pi Beta Phi at New York University has personally benefitted from The Friendship Fund by receiving multiple scholarships that have provided leadership, educational, and membership opportunities to many of our sisters. For the 2013 calendar year, we have a goal of collecting $25 per chapter member to support the Friendship Fund. Please help us reach out goal!

NY Eta Pi Beta Phi Literacy Fund

"Pi Beta Phi's signature philanthropy, Read > Lead > AchieveĀ®, draws on a century of service and thousands of volunteers to inspire a lifelong love of reading. In current society, one in four children will grow up functionally illiterate.* Through the Read > Lead > Achieve reading initiatives, Pi Beta Phi will create a more literate and productive society."-The Pi Beta Phi Foundation NY Eta's goal is to raise $20 per member to support the Literacy Fund which allows us to promote literacy in our local community. The donations to this fund grants materials for our semi annual tutoring program, called Champions Are Readers, supports First Book, which donated books to people in in need, and many other opportunities.
