Privacy Policy

GoEnnounce, LLC ("GoEnnounce" or "we"), operator of, respects your preferences concerning the treatment of personal information that we may collect from your use of the GoEnounce service (the “Service”) and your interactions with GoEnnounce offline. This policy lets you know how we collect and use your personal information, and how you can control its use. This policy describes the broadest potential use of personal information throughout the Service and in offline transactions that is consistent with the terms of this policy. However, please note that we may make far less use of your personal information.


Personal Information. This policy covers the following personal information that GoEnnounce collects through your use of the Service and in connection with off-line interactions. Specifically, we may collect this information from offline and online registrations and forms, communications and interactions, and sales inquiries and transactions. GoEnnounce also may use third-party sources, such as opt-in lists, as specified below.  

  • Contact information, such as name, physical address, telephone number, e-mail address and school institution.
  • Transactional information, including information about the products and services you request, purchase, access or download.
  • User preferences, such as product requirements, areas of industry/academic interest and other information you select in your profile when registering for and using the Service, or as indicated by your use of the Service.
  • Financial/credit card and payment information for users who have activated the MY FUNDS feature and for users making reward or donation payments. 
  • Usage statistics relating to your use of GoEnnounce products and services.

Electronic Communications Protocols and Cookies. In addition to the information specified above, we may collect information about your use of the Service through electronic communications protocols and cookies. As is true when you visit most websites, GoEnnounce may automatically receive information from you as part of the communication connection itself, which often consists of network routing information (where you came from), equipment information (browser type) and date and time. GoEnnounce also uses cookies, embedded URLs, embedded pixels and other similar technologies to capture additional information.

GoEnnounce Cookies. GoEnnounce's server will query your browser to see if there are "cookies" previously set by the Service. A cookie is a small piece of information sent by a web server to store on a web browser so that it can later be read back from that browser. Cookies for the Service may collect a unique identifier, user preferences and profile information and membership information. GoEnnounce also uses cookies to collect general usage and volume statistical information that does not include personally identifiable information. Some cookies may remain on a user's computer after the user leaves the website. While we do not offer an opt-out for cookies, browsers provide you with information and control over cookies. You can set your browser to alert you when a cookie is being used, and accept or reject the cookie. You can also set your browser to refuse all cookies or accept only cookies returned to the originating servers. Users can generally disable the cookie feature on their browser without affecting their ability to use the Service, but disabling cookies may prevent you from accessing certain features of the Service.

Third-Party Cookies and Functions. GoEnnounce may use third-party advertisers to serve or track advertisements on websites. These third parties may use cookies, pixel tags and other technologies to, among other things, enable such third parties to record which ads your browser has loaded and which pages you may have been viewing when the ads were delivered or accessed. The information collected through these functions is subject to the privacy policies of those third parties.

Embedded URLs. GoEnnounce may use a tracking technique that employs embedded URLs to allow use of the site without cookies. Embedded URLs allow limited information to follow you as you navigate the site, but is not associated with personal information and is not used beyond the session.

Embedded Pixels. GoEnnounce may use embedded pixel technologies on selected pages for the purposes of identifying unique user visits to the Service, as opposed to aggregate hits, and to identify the pages viewed.  We may also use embedded pixel technologies to determine whether the recipient of an e-mail has opened a particular message.

The information provided by these technologies may be re-associated with personal information by GoEnnounce.


GoEnnounce uses (and, where specified, shares) your personal information for the following purposes:

To engage in transactions. GoEnnounce may use personal information such as name, physical address, telephone number, e-mail address and company/institution to engage in transactions with you, including contacting you about your registration or transactions and sharing such information with GoEnnounce’s suppliers for processing of orders placed.

To process transactions. GoEnnounce may use financial/credit card and payment information to process your transactions. GoEnnounce may need to share some of this information with suppliers, delivery services, credit card clearing houses and other third parties to complete the transactions.

To provide support or other services. GoEnnounce may use your personal information to provide you with support or other services that you have ordered or requested. In addition, GoEnnounce may use your personal information to respond to your inquiries or requests for information.

To tailor marketing to your interests and respond to your requests. GoEnnounce may use your personal information to provide you with notices of new product releases and service developments. GoEnnounce also may use your personal information to respond directly to your requests for information, including registrations for newsletters or other specific requests, or pass your contact information to the appropriate GoEnnounce distributor or reseller for further follow-up related to your interests. 

To provide online forums and social networks. Some services available on the Service permit you to participate in interactive discussions, post comments, opportunities or other content to a personal profile or bulletin board, or otherwise engage in networking activities. Some of these services are moderated; all may be accessed by GoEnnounce for technical reasons. You should assume that any posts you make may be viewed by other users or our staff, and should not post any information that you want to keep confidential.   GoEnnounce does have filters in place on posting and commenting features which are intended to block contact information exchange. For example if a user in an e-nnouncement post or comment attempts to share personal contact information such as phone numbers or email addresses, filters are intended to block this from occurring. If something is missed in our automatic filters and found by a moderator to be inappropriate contact information exchange, the contact information, post or comment will be removed. 

GoEnnounce does not control the content that users post to these settings. You should carefully consider whether you wish to submit personal information in these settings, and you should tailor any content you submit appropriately and in accordance with the relevant terms of use. To protect all of our users and their user experience, GoEnnounce also has filters in place to block the usage of inappropriate language and behavior. Certain words and phrases will be blocked from e-nnouncement posts and comments. If you try to post something with a word or phrase that is blocked you will receive an error message and be asked to adjust your post. If something is missed in our filters and a moderator later finds a comment or post to contain inappropriate behavior, language, files or photos, i.e profane, offensive, bullying, etc. it will be removed.

GoEnnounce does not allow for any private messaging feature.  Visitors to your Student Page may only contact you via the comment feature on any of your e-nnouncement posts. You are only allowed to send private messages to anyone on GoEnnounce in the form of a THANK YOU, for any Donations or Rewards received in your MY FUNDS.

You should further review any additional terms and conditions that may govern your use of these services, including terms related to use, sharing your personal information and receiving communications.  You acknowledge that any information you post in publicly accessible areas of the Service (e.g., your personal profile) may be accessible to the general public, including, but not limited to, Internet search engines and indexing services.

To select content, improve quality and facilitate use of the Service. GoEnnounce may use your personal information, including the information gathered as a result of site navigation and electronic protocols and cookies (including third-party cookies), to help create and personalize Service content, facilitate your use of the Service (for example, to facilitate navigation and the login process, avoid duplicate data entry, enhance security, keep track of shopping cart items and preserve order information between sessions), improve Service quality, track marketing campaign responsiveness and evaluate page response rates.

To comply with legal requirements. GoEnnounce may disclose your personal information to comply with laws, court orders, litigation or other legal processes, and/or in response to requests from governmental authorities within or outside your country of residence. We may also disclose information about you if we determine that disclosure is reasonably necessary to enforce our rights or protect our operations or users.

As part of a merger or acquisition. GoEnnounce may disclose your personal information to a successor or acquiring entity as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization or other transaction involving all or substantially all of GoEnnounce’s assets.


Certain parts of the Service allow you to integrate with Stripe for payment and sending and receipt of funds. If you choose to integrate the Service with Stripe, we will have access to information that you allow Stripe to share with us, and we may share your information with Stripe as necessary to process transactions. Your interactions with Stripe are subject to its privacy policy.  Details regarding fees associated with the use of Stripe and transaction charges are outlined in our Terms of Use.  You are never charged anything to activate and use Stripe, you are only subject to transaction fees from Stripe as donations to fundraising Missions or “rewards” come in. 


The Service provides tools for you to set the viewing rights to your Student Page and profile fields and determine who can view and participate in your Missions. You can set global values that apply generally, or you can customize selections to fine tune your preferences within Edit Profile. Note, however, that the Service applies default settings when you establish an account with the Service, and those default settings will apply unless you change them. Default settings will also apply when the Service introduces new features. You should review your privacy preferences regularly to ensure that the settings match your preferences.


Your California Privacy Rights. Under California Civil Code Section 1798.83, if you are a California resident and your business relationship with GoEnnounce is primarily for personal, family or household purposes, you may request certain data regarding GoEnnounce’s disclosure, if any, of personal information to third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please send an e-mail message to with "Request for California Privacy Information" in the subject line. You may make such a request up to once per calendar year. If applicable, we will provide you, by e-mail, a list of the categories of personal information disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes during the immediately preceding calendar year, along with the third parties' names and addresses. Please note that not all personal information sharing is covered by Section 1798.83's requirements.

Third-Party Sites

The Service Provides Links To Non-GoEnnounce Sites We Believe May Be Of Interest To You. Those Sites Are Beyond Our Control. Your Interactions With Those Third Parties Are Subject To Their Privacy Policies And Terms Of Service.

For instance, we provide access to Thrively as part of our “Discover New Activities” Tool. Thrively’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Use can be found here  .  When utilizing the “Discover New Activities” search tool on GoEnnounce pages, your personal information won’t be shared with Thrively, unless you agree to exit to GoEnnounce to their site and take Thrively’s strength assessment test to assist you in discovering new activities based on your interests. Then you will be asked to accept Thrively’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy and any responses to their questions will be used to provide you with information from Thrively.

Additionally we provide, access to content, lessons and courses via partnerships with 3rd parties available in Go Classes. Currently Go Classes offers an online class to get certified in digital citizenship via a partnership with PD Learning Network called Digital Citizen. 

Digital Citizen is an online competency-based course designed to sharpen your digital citizenship skills.  You work through the course on your time frame and stop and start as needed. 6 lesson topics include digital footprints, digital health and wellness, cyberbullying, safe use of social media, and of course, digital etiquette, literacy & communication. Lessons include video content, quizzes and assessments created by PD Learning Network.  Lessons also include links to outside 3rd party content, articles and video to learn more. 

Upon completion, PD Learning Network's team of educators will evaluate your online assessments and you appear anonymous to them during this evaluation stage. All personal, identifying information is blocked and your identity is not shared with PD Learning Network as they review your assessments. They only see the content of the assessments and elect to notify the you anonymously with feedback to re-do an assessment or award your digital badge—right to your GoEnnounce Student Page. Visitors to your student page can click on the badge to see the course requirements.

We also offer brand sponsored scholarships or initiatives, Go Opportunities. Students may opt in to being considered for possible scholarships or other rewards based on criteria established by our partners.  To opt in, you must select the Go Opportunity on your Student Page, review the criteria and select Apply. Currently The Service only offers a monthly scholarship, sponsored by GoEnnounce open to all high school students, college freshmen, college sophomores, and college juniors, and a weekly contribution toward a Study Abroad fundraising MISSION, sponsored by the 3rd party Abroad101.

Your personal information is not exchanged with the brand when opting in to these initiatives, you are just authorizing the Service to review your activity to determine if you are eligible for the award. At anytime we may add additional scholarships and intiatives that may be sponsored by 3rd party brands to Go Opportunities.

You must elect to opt in to every Go Opportunity individually, by selecting Apply, per above, to be considered. We may direct you to content, like the above link, from a third party brand (the sponsor) hosted on the GoEnnounce blog, a GoEnnounce landing page or third party brand’s site to explain the content & activity criteria to posted on your Student Page the brand considers from you to be eligible. Please note that the brand may ask you to post personal information about recent accomplishments, interests or goals on your GoEnnounce Student Page, and you will need to decide if it is appropriate to post this activity to your GoEnnounce Student Page. 

The Service will handle all communication with you if you become the recipient of the award. Your personal information will not be shared with the Brand upon receiving the award, however, GoEnnounce and the brand may share your Student Page (if your privacy settings are set to public) on their respective social media channels and blogs, acknowledging you are the recipient of the award. While we seek to work with partners we think our users would be interested in, we can’t take responsibility for determining if any given partner’s offer is appropriate for you.

We do link to Stripe to allow you the ability to open financial services accounts with Stripe - to accept REWARD payments and MISSION donations (see Paragraph 16 and 17  for details). An adult, over 18, must consent to the terms of service and privacy policies of all financial services accounts.

Transfer of Information to Other Countries.  GoEnnounce’s processing of the information that it collects may involve the transfer of that information to various countries around the world, including countries other than the one in which you reside. By submitting your information to GoEnnounce, you consent to such transfers and to the processing of that information in various countries around the world, including countries other than the one in which you reside. Specifically, you agree that we may transfer such information to and store and process it in the United States.

Policy Updates. We may update this policy from time to time, and the updated version of this policy will be effective upon posting. Please check this page to review the most up-to-date version of this policy.

No Use by Minors. The Service is intended for use by adults and youths over the age of 13 only. In connection with the Service, GoEnnounce does not promote online to children and does not intentionally collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. The Company intends to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you are under the age of 13, your parent must sign up with their contact information.
