I enjoy kayaking, I'm very fond of paddling though the mangroves of Florida whenever I have the free time. I spend my time after school either with friends or keeping myself up to date with the world. Aside from the fact that I'm American, I'm obsessed with British television and have watched or am watching several different series, one of note being Doctor Who. I hope to one day purchase an ivy cap and equip a bow tie around my neck for the ultimate apparel experience. Otherwise, see ya :) read more

Feed a Family in Need

Thanksgiving is a time where families gather together, sharing laughter and tables covered in delicious food. It’s a time for spreading love and appreciation to the people around them. What better way to spread the spirit of Thanksgiving than by giving back to a family in need in our very own city of Cape Coral? I, along with a few other students from Oasis High School, will be raising money to donate to the Community Cooperative Ministries (CCMI) to do just that: provide a Thanksgiving meal to a family who otherwise wouldn't have one. This organization works to eliminate hunger in our community by providing the necessary resources to strengthen those affected by hunger and help them to turn their lives around. Through their Holiday Helpers initiative, I will be raising $100 in order to provide a meal to two families with 4-6 members each. All funds raised will go directly to the program, who will use it to create baskets that will be presented to each family on Thanksgiving. Please help me to spread the spirit and love of Thanksgiving to as many people in our community as possible by donating to this initiative! (If you would like to learn more, here is a link to information about the Holiday Helpers - http://www.ccmileecounty.com/CCMI_CMS/index.php/get-involved/holiday-helpers-giving-back-during-the-holidays).
