My varsity cheer team went to the State Cheer and Dance competition this past weekend. We preformed Game-day routines and made it to the finals of the competiton. Overall, we placed fourth in the state in our division. It was an amazing expierence to share with my team!
There are ways to help out your community without having to do manual labor. You could have your community come together and be free of technology for some time and just connect with each other. For example, every year our school does a Tech-Free day where we aren't allowed to use any kind of technology. That includes our phones, iPads, computers, and radios, so we all get a chance to actually talk to each other, instead of texting.
The technology we have in this century makes it so easy to create anything we want. We have people programming robots and using green screens to make movies. This never would have been possible 100 years ago. Creativity has been given a whole new meaning.
I think collaboration is an important way to stay connected and involved in your community. Most of the time people collaborate online and through social media. The technology now allows us to talk to people across the world with the click of a button. People can communicate to solve problems or just discuss common interest.

A college representative visited our school from Birmingham Southern University and I went to the meeting. It was very informative and it made me realize I should really start looking into colleges. #offlinetoonline
