About a few years ago, we left my home country Venezuela for better opportunities for me and my siblings. In the current state of my country, our future seemed bleak. My parents gave up a lot to bring us here, so in turn, I have done my best to excel in my academics and my activities. I was the treasurer of the National Hispanic Honor Society and of The Advocate, my school's newspaper, in my sophomore year.
