I really would like to do things differently than the normal boring Grand Valley student. Which includes a daily routine of the same exact thing over and over for four years straight. I was very interested in study abroad because it is much more diverse than the normal routine of an American way of life. It includes education amongst many trips to places we’ve only imagined visiting. Study abroad is something I can only participate in during this stage of my life: The College Kid Phase. And during this phase kids don’t think much of studying abroad. While I'm still in pursuit of my undergraduate degree I want to experience a different culture, as well as a different way of living; to say that I can do both of those things while studying abroad would be a big check off of my list of things to do in life. Especially being in college, I would like to pursue greater opportunities that can only be experienced by being out of my own comfort zone. Being accepted into this program I will at least have an understanding about a country other than my own and an experience that can’t even be put into words. Everyone doesn't get a chance at this opportunity; everyone doesn’t get a chance to live life in a different country while getting an education. I would like to take advantage and capitalize on a once in a lifetime opportunity. An experience and offer, it seems that Grand Valley can give.
