Help Me: Study Abroad in Lille France
Study Abroad

What I'm Fundraising For
I am raising money to cover my program tuition for a month of study abroad in Lille, France. I will be taking two courses throughout my time abroad; one intensive French course and one business course relevant to my major. All of the courses will transfer back and will actually be helping me complete my degree.
Why This Is Important To Me:
I've always wanted to go to France and I have studied the language since my freshman year of high school (7 years total). This trip will help me reach my goal of becoming truly fluent in the language. I am enrolled in an International French minor and I hope this becomes a useful tool in finding a job and working in an increasingly global business environment. I want this to be the beginning of many travels throughout my life. Many people say that studying abroad in college is sometimes your only chance to travel. I, on the other hand, plan on making a habit of traveling the world.
How I Will Use The Funds:
Funds I raise here will be put towards the program fee itself. The total program fee is $6,250 but I have covered $5000 already with help from my dad and scholarships, leaving me with $1,250 left to raise. I will hopefully be able to cover some of it myself, however, I have limited income as I'm enrolled full time as a student. The program fee includes housing and tuition but not much in the way of food, excursions, or flights. I plan to purchase flights and food myself with my savings. Fees for using GoEnnounce are only 3.5%; significantly less than most other crowdfunding sites.
Strategy & Perks
My Strategy To Reach This Goal:
If 100 people donated at least $25 I could reach my goal quickly! However, any amount you can give would be greatly appreciated! Personally, I will be working while taking classes in order to cover my current expenses and save up to pay for my flights.
Perks:
Whether you donate or not, you can come back to this page and see any updates I post during my time abroad!
No updates have been posted for this mission.
