When heading into the newest chapter of my life as a college freshman I had one agenda- to study abroad. It has been a dream of mine since the door to the rest of the world was opened up to me at the age of 15. I have an incredible fascination with the world and the cultures it holds. I planned out my college career around studying abroad so I had nothing that could hold me back. Just a few weeks ago I got my acceptance into an ISA program in London, England. I literally cried with joy- it was one of the greatest moments of my life so far. I will be living in the 'oh so chic' Notting Hill while studying business courses at the University of Westminster for 6 months. To make this possible I have worked two jobs and have saved as much as I can but unfortunately it is still not enough. Already sitting on 10,000 dollars in loans I am only 3,000 short. I would not be where I am if it wasn't for my family and friends' continuous support. All I ask is for a donation of any size to help me achieve the dream I have been chasing for so long. I will put every cent to good use getting involved in my host university and in the community I am immersing myself into. I will study hard and gain the knowledge of not only communicating effectively with other cultures but how to overcome uncomfortable situations. This is something that will help me so much in my future career. To see study abroad on my resume will set me apart from the competitors I will be facing. Studying abroad has been a dream of mine for so long to have this close feels almost like it is not real. I would be forever grateful for any kind of help. Cheers!!
